Streamz announces the start date for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season three

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns soon for a third season, available exclusively on Streamz.
In the new season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew of the USS Enterprise embark on another adventure across the galaxy. They discover new worlds, encounter unfamiliar lifeforms, and face dangerous enemies.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

The previous season, now two years old, ended with a major cliffhanger: Pike had to choose between following Starfleet orders and leaving his crew captive, or risking their safety by ignoring them. In season three, Pike and his team grapple with the consequences of their battle against the Gorn, which erupted dramatically at the end of season two.

In addition to old threats, new, unknown enemies and extraordinary encounters with inhabitants of undiscovered worlds await. All of this leads to renewed intergalactic conflict and moral dilemmas.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds takes place approximately ten years before the original 1960s Star Trek series and follows Captain Christopher Pike before Captain Kirk takes command. The series combines classic Star Trek elements with new stories, creating a feeling of both nostalgia and freshness.

Paramount+ confirmed there will be a fourth and a shortened fifth season, but that's it. At least for this Star Trek series, because a new series has already been announced, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, starring Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season three will be available on Streamz starting Sunday, August 3rd. Watch the trailer below.

I'm looking forward to it, but I do think there's a long gap between this and last season, so I need to get back into it. Starfleet Academy is apparently becoming a young adult series. Too bad, why not just stick with the established concept? You could certainly incorporate young adult themes, but don't emphasize them so much. The same goes for woke themes. Did I mention I'm a true boomer? :)
