The trailer sees Dr. Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar) continue his experiments with hybrids while bonding with Gus. Meanwhile, Aimee (Dania Ramirez), Jepperd and Bear (Stefania LaVie Owen) prepare to battle the Last Men.
Sweet Tooth's first season ended with the core of the characters separated from General Abbott (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men with the goal of eradicating the hybrids. In season two, Abbott will continue his hunt for a cure for the sick through Dr. Singh to conduct experiments on hybrids. The General's desperation is likely to increase as another deadly wave from the Sick threatens more lives.
Meanwhile, Bear may be on a new mission, as she managed to contact Gus' mother Birdie (Amy Seimetz), who turns out to be alive in a remote Alaskan research facility. The trailer and new promo footage show Bear also encountering a new group of survivors who can be a valuable ally against the Last Men and their army. Because Bear's foster sister Wendy 'Pigtail' (Naledi Murray) is also one of the captive hybrid children, Bear will do anything to free her and Gus.
In the Sweet Tooth season one finale, Jepperd was shot and left for dead by the Last Men. Fortunately, Aimee arrived just in time to save him and nurse him back to health. She vowed to take on the Last Men and save the hybrid children she cared for at the Essex Zoo. With Aimee, Jepperd, Bear and Gus looking to take on the Last Men, audiences won't have long to wait to see if they'll succeed when Sweet Tooth season two returns on Netflix on Thursday, April 27.
