The start date of the third season was revealed in a teaser for the upcoming season. Lead actor Jeremy Allen White posted the teaser on Instagram. In it we see White's Carmy in the kitchen, alone and intense.
When we last saw Carmy in the season two finale, he was locked in a walk-in refrigerator during the restaurant's Friends and Family Night. The teaser confirms that he escaped.
Season three of FX's The Bear follows Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto (White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard 'Richie' Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they do whatever it takes to turn The Bear, their beef stand into haute cuisine business to the highest level, while doing their best to stay in business. It's a losing battle every day in the restaurant business.
Carmy puts more pressure on himself than ever and demands excellence from his team, who do their utmost to match his intensity. Their quest for culinary excellence propels the team to new heights and highlights the bonds that hold the restaurant together.
As the team grows, each member strives for a higher level of service within their role. In the restaurant industry you are never on solid ground and with that ever-changing landscape comes new challenges and opportunities. Our chefs have learned that every second counts, but this season we'll see if they have what it takes to make it until tomorrow.
The third season of The Bear can be streamed from Thursday, June 27.
All ten episodes of season three will be released at once. Season three will also stream exclusively on Disney+ in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Gibraltar, the Balkans, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines from June 27, and will be available at a later date are on Disney+ in all other territories.
As previously reported, The Bear has been quietly renewed for a fourth season and filming will take place in Chicago. FX declined comment.
Created by Christopher Storer, The Bear also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.
The first season of The Bear won ten Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Writing. The series has already aired its second season, but last year's writers and actors were at odds over which year was eligible to compete in the 75th Emmy Awards.
Season two won Golden Globes for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy and stars White and Edebiri in the lead roles. The Bear has been named AFI Television Program of the Year two years running and earned the series nod at the Critics Choice Awards, with wins also for White, Edebiri and Moss-Bachrach.
