The Capture will soon return to the NPO with a second season

DI Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) enters the world of disinformation again, this time a politician (Paapa Essiedu) appears to be the victim.

The second season of the British thriller series The Capture will start next month on Dutch television: from Saturday 15 June you will see a double episode every week on NPO 2.

The Capture

The Capture follows DI Rachel Carey (Grainger), who in the first season investigated a soldier accused of murder (Callum Turner) and in the second season stumbles upon a possible plot against politician Isaac Turner (Paapa Essiedu).

As Minister of Security, Turner questions the services of a Chinese tech company, after which he is intimidated and eventually even a deepfake interview with him is shown in a BBC news program. And so it's up to Carey to separate the fact from the fiction.

Indira Varma was added to the cast as television host Khadija Khan. Other roles include Cavan Clerkin, Ginny Holder, Ben Miles, Ron Perlman, Lia Williams, Nigel Lindsay, Daisy Waterstone and Peter Singh. The six-part series comes from screenwriter and showrunner Ben Chanan, who was also responsible for the first season.

The second season can also be seen in its entirety on NPO Plus from June 13.
