The fourth season explores intriguing cases such as a fashion icon threatened with ruin by her own wealth, an aristocratic family fiercely protecting their bloodline, a spa and beauty salon owner hiding dangerous secrets, and a mysterious double murder that begins in Chelsea and leads to the harsh world of architecture.
Other familiar faces also return in season four: Sophie Stone as forensic expert Ashley Wilton, Lucy Phelps as tech researcher Jess Lombard, Peter Bankolé as DC Connor Pollock, and Frances Barber as Max's vivacious aunt Olivia.
Season four is written by Peter Fincham, Glen Laker, and Liz Lake and directed by Richard Signy and Audrey Cooke. The series is a co-production between Acorn Media Enterprises, Germany's ZDF, and BBC Studios-backed production company Expectation.
The Chelsea Detective returns in 2026 with four feature-length episodes (90 minutes each). Filming has already started in and around London.
