The drama series The Chi saw a 65% increase in streaming viewership on Paramount+ with the debut of the first eight episodes of season six on August 4.
In its first seven days, the season six premiere drew more than 1.8 million viewers, according to Paramount Global. This makes it the most watched season premiere of The Chi to date.

With the integration of Showtime and Paramount+, The Chi follows a split release strategy. Episodes begin on August 4 on Paramount+ and new episodes will be available every Friday. The new episode will then air every Sunday on Showtime, starting with the August 6 premiere.
Season six consists of sixteen episodes, the second half of which will air at a later, as-yet-unannounced date.
The Chi was created and produced by Lena Waithe and her Hillman Grad banner (Twenties, Master of None) and produced by Common (Selma).
