Today, SkyShowtime released a thrilling first look teaser trailer for the upcoming 10-part series, alongside new first look images featuring Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch and Úrsula Corberó, giving audiences a glimpse at the highly anticipated modern reimagining. SkyShowtime Original Series The Day of the Jackal will be available to stream on the service from 6 December.
An unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, (Eddie Redmayne) makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.
The series also stars Úrsula Corberó (La Casa de Papel) as Nuria, someone at the heart of The Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is. Wider cast includes Charles Dance (Rabbit Hole, Game of Thrones) featuring in the role of Timothy Winthrop, Richard Dormer (Blue Lights, Game of Thrones) as Norman, Chukwudi Iwuji (The Split) as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams (The Capture, The Crown) as Isabel Kirby, Khalid Abdalla (The Crown) as Ulle Dag Charles, Eleanor Matsuura (The Walking Dead) as Zina Jansone, Jonjo O’Neill (Andor) as Edward Carver, Nick Blood (Slow Horses) as Vince, Sule Rimi (Classified, Andor) as Paul Pullman and Florisa Kamara (Eastenders) as Jasmin Pullman.
