Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi (pictured), Nikesh Patel, Phil Dunster, Meera Syal and Benjamin Chivers star in the series, with Saffron Hocking joining the cast for season two.

The drama series, initially announced as a limited series, has been renewed for a third season. In the story, a woman wakes up every night at exactly 3:33 am, in the middle of the so-called 'devil's hour', between 3 and 4 am.

Prime Video has revealed more about season two in the press release below:

“Prime Video unveils the first look at season two of the mind-bending thriller The Devil's Hour, launching worldwide exclusively on Prime Video on Friday, October 18.

In season two of The Devil's Hour, Lucy (Jessica Raine) and Gideon (Peter Capaldi) form an uneasy alliance to prevent a recurring tragedy and hunt an elusive monster. Lucy's double life finds her torn between family and duty when she finds herself in the crosshairs of her husband from her previous life, DI Ravi Dhillon (Nikesh Patel). DS Sam Boyd (Saffron Hocking), who was mentored by DI Lucy Chambers in a previous life, helps Dhillon with his investigation.

Meanwhile, Isaac (Benjamin Chivers) discovers new emotions every day and struggles to keep his balance in a reality that rejects his existence. New mysteries unfold as our stories converge in an explosive moment that will change the fates of our characters for the rest of their recurring lives.

The Emmy-nominated thriller continues the harrowing exploits of the main trio, with returning cast including Benjamin Chivers, Alex Ferns, Barbara Marten, along with Thomas Dominique and Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty.

The five-part second season is produced by the award-winning Hartswood Films. All five episodes were written and created by Tom Moran and the executive producers are Sue Vertue, Tom Moran and Steven Moffat.

The Devil's Hour is produced by Lawrence Till. Directed by Johnny Allan and Shaun James Grant, the series will launch exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

Filming for the third season has recently completed at Shepperton Studios, Hampshire, Surrey and Dartmoor.”

This is a really cool series. The end of the first season was pretty much closed, but when I read the description of season two, the writer has found an interesting new direction. I'm curious!

I'm also curious. I gave the series an 8, but if I'm completely honest, the story is not really on my retina anymore. I think the ending was a bit ambivalent.
But because of those 8 I will definitely watch again. And I read that a third season has already been recorded? Good work :-)
