Dermot Mulroney added to new Starz drama The Hunting Wives

Dermot Mulroney has been cast in the upcoming Starz drama The Hunting Wives in a regular role.
He will star alongside previously announced leads Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow. Production will begin this spring in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mulroney will play Jed Banks, a fifth-generation oilman, alpha millionaire and the husband of show-off Margo (Åkerman). Above all, he is a ladies' man who loves nothing more than having female guests in his marital bed. And while he's considering a run for governor of Texas, he's determined not to let public service get in the way of their good times.

Mulroney's (pictured) previous series roles include Marvel's Secret Invasion, Prime Video's Hanna, the first season of Prime Video's Homecoming, CBS comedy series Pure Genius and Showtime's Shameless (US).

Written by Rebecca Cutter and based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives tells the story of Sophie O'Neil (Snow) and her family's move from the East Coast to the Deep East of Texas, where she succumbs to the irresistible charms of socialite Margo Bank (Åkerman) - and her life is consumed by obsession, seduction and murder.

Showrunner Cutter produces together with Cobb and Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.
