Disney+ has announced the premiere date of the second season of The Mandalorian. It will release near the end of October. Production on the second season of The Mandalorian was finished in March, just before the coronavirus resulted in a lot of productions being temporarily halted. Rosario Dawson (Briarpatch), Michael Biehn (Curfew) and Bill Burr (New Girl) will join the cast in the second season, which further consists of Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Gina Carano (Almost Human), amongst others. Disney+ has now revealed that the second season will begin its run on the streaming service on the 30th of October.
The Mandolorian
The Mandalorian first premiered on the 12th of November, which was alongside the launch of the Disney+ streaming service. It didn't take long before the Star Wars series gained a lot of popularity, and it was also nominated for fifteen Emmy Awards. Even though the second season hasn't even released yet, production on a third season has supposedly already started.
The American science fiction series takes place in the Star Wars universe, in between the movies Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The series revolves around a lone wolf bounty hunter at the edge of the known galaxy.
