The 10-part series The Muppets Mayhem was released in May, but Disney+ has never released viewership figures for the series.
It is the last canceled series on Disney+ this year. The other series that have been canceled are The Spiderwick Chronicles, which has since been sold to Roku, National Treasure: Edge of History, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D., Willow, Big Shot (2021) and The Mighty Ducks (2021): Game Changers.
Developed and written by Goldberg and Muppets veterans Bill Barretta and Jeff Yorkes, the series followed The Electric Mayhem Band on an epic musical journey to finally record their first studio album.
Lilly Singh played the role of Nora, a driven junior A&R executive who had to manage and keep the band in check. With her help, the old-school Muppet band came face to face with the contemporary music scene as they attempted to finally go platinum.
Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry and Anders Holm also star alongside Muppet performers such as Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman and Matt Vogel.
The Electric Mayhem Band consisted of Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, voiced by Barretta, Animal on drums, voiced by Jacobson, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, voiced by Vogel, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, voiced by Rudman, Zoot on saxophone, voiced by Goelz, and Lips on trumpet, voiced by Linz.
The Disney Branded Television series was produced by ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio. It was part of Goldberg's overall deal with ABC Signature.
Executive producers are Goldberg, Barretta, Michael Bostick and Kris Eber and David Lightbody and Leigh Slaughter of The Muppets Studio. Yorkes is co-executive producer.
