The new season finds former CIA agent Dan Chase (Jeff Bridges) and former FBI assistant director Harold Harper (John Lithgow) searching for Emily Chase (Alia Shawkat) after she is kidnapped by Afghan tribal leader Faraz Hamzad (Navid Negahban).
With all three men claiming her as their daughter, Emily finds herself in an identity crisis. As Chase and Harper fight their way to Emily, Hamzad is forced to make decisions that could put his family and his village in danger.
His sister and advisor Khadija (Jacqueline Antaramian) worries about the path her brother has taken. Meanwhile, Zoe McDonald (Amy Brenneman) makes surprising moves after being drawn into a new world by Chase.
Julian Carson (Gbenga Akinnagbe) is disillusioned with his former role and finds himself at a crossroads with a path he never imagined.
Based on the best-selling novel by Thomas Perry, the series has been adapted for television by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine. The new season will be slightly longer, at eight episodes.
