Jared Abrahamson will have a recurring role on HBO Max's The Penguin

Jared Abrahamson (The Changeling) has been tapped for a key recurring role opposite Colin Farrell in the Max series The Penguin.
The eight-part drama continues the Batman crime saga that Matt Reeves started with Warner Bros Pictures' The Batman and centers on the character Farrell played in the film. Cristin Milioti (The Resort) plays female lead Sofia Falcone. Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel's Runaways) also stars. Details about Abrahamson's character have not yet been revealed.

Abrahamson's (pictured) breakout role came in the independent film Hello, Destroyer, which earned him a TIFF Rising Star award and a Leo Award for Best Lead Actor. He recently appeared in Topside, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, Jerrod Carmichael's directorial debut On the Count of Three and Nicholas Ma's Mabel opposite Judy Greer.

His television credits include Ramy, Letterkenny and Travelers (2016). He can currently be seen in the feature film God's Time and in Apple TV+'s The Changeling, and he will soon be seen in Henry Nelson's Asleep In My Palm, opposite Tim Blake Nelson.

Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, The Penguin is produced by Reeves, Dylan Clark, Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.

The series is produced by Reeves' 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an umbrella deal. 6th & Idaho's Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer and Rafi Crohn serves as co-executive producer.
