The series The Peripheral is inspired by the novel by William Gibson. Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan are behind the series that stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T'Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings, Adelind Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy and Austin Rising star.
Prime Video revealed more about The Peripheral renewal in a press release:
"Prime Video today announced that it has ordered a second season of the science fiction drama series The Peripheral, starring Chloë Grace Moretz and based on the bestselling novel of the same name by William Gibson. The first season debuted exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on October 21, 2022. The Peripheral is produced by Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television, in association with Kilter Films.

A premiere date for The Peripheral season two will be announced at a later date.
