Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard and Lucas Iverson join the cast for season two.
Wells emphasized that maintaining an annual release date is important for audience connection. He believes viewers lose the story more quickly if too much time passes between seasons. "We're returning on the exact same day we started—January 8th, 365 days later," Wells said.
He added that, in his opinion, "there's no reason why series can't air every year," especially now that the number of new series is declining. While delays used to be explained by a crowded television market, he believes that reason no longer holds true.
