Amazon has revealed the cast members of the upcoming thriller series The Power, which will include Tim Robbins and Leslie Mann.
The Power is based on the bestseller with the same name by Naomi Alderman. The story takes place in our time, but there is one difference. Teenage girls unexpectedly acquire the power to electrocute people. Ten episodes will be released. Reed Morano (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct the series. Sister (Chernobyl) is responsible for production.
Tim Robbins (Here and Now (2018)) portrays the self-absorbed Republican governor Daniel Dandon. Leslie Mann (Allen Gregory) will portray the Democratic mayor Margot Cleary-Lopez. Her husband is portrayed by John Leguizamo (When They See Us). Newcomers Gerrison Machado and Petra Castro will portray their children. Edwina Findley (Fear The Walking Dead) will portray an advisor. Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) will portray reporter Tom. Alice Eve (Belgravia) will portray his colleague, Kirsten.
Next to all that, the cast will further consist of Zrinka Cvitešić (London Spy), Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (The Queen's Gambit), Sam Buchanan (Mad Men), Archie Rush (Black Mirror), Juliet Cowan (Cuckoo) and Simbi Ajikawo (Top Boy).
