AMC considering third season for The Terror

The American channel AMC is developing a number of ideas that can form the basis for a third season of the anthology series The Terror.
In collaboration with production company Scott Free, concepts are made that should be the starting point for a new season. The first season of anthology series The Terror, based on the novel by Dan Simmons and broadcast in 2018, took place on a Victorian sailing ship that followed a doomed ship. Season two, The Terror: Infamy, which premiered in August 2019, focuses on an evil form-changing force that threatens prisoners in a Japanese internment camp in World War II.

Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group, said the following about The Terror: “ love the concept of historical and horror. Horror is such a brilliant metaphorical way to talk about being human and the jagged emotions we feel, it’s wonderful. I’m curious how we can [continue] that franchise and look at what works. We don’t just want to keep doing the same thing, what would a season three look like. ”
