Netflix renews The Umbrella Academy with a third season

There's going to be a third season of The Umbrella Academy. Netflix has decided to renew the series. It's going to take some time before the third season will hit the streaming service. Production is set to begin in Toronto in February 2021. Steve Blackman (Altered Carbon) will once again serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The Umbrella Academy revolves around a dysfunctional family of superheroes, who are trying to solve the mystery of their father's death and tries to prevent the coming apocalypse. The series premiered back in February 2019, which resulted in it becoming the third best-watched series of Netflix in 2019. Last July, the second season premiered. That season was also watched by a lot of people.
