Start date and many posters for the final season of The Umbrella Academy

The official farewell of the successful Netflix series The Umbrella Academy starts in August.The Umbrella Academy launched in 2019 as one of Netflix's Top 3 most popular series of the year. The season three premiere episode opened at No. 1 in Netflix's weekly English-language TV rankings with 124.5 million hours watched. The series spent five weeks in the Top 10.



The fourth and final season of the series based on the comic book series, created and written by Gerard Way, will be released on Thursday, August 8. The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, for Netflix.

Netflix already announced the renewal of the final season in 2022.

The Umbrella Academy cast members who will reprise their roles in season four include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Colm Feore, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and David Cross.

Steve Blackman, who has led The Umbrella Academy since its inception, returns as executive producer and showrunner.

In addition to Blackman, Jennifer Cecil, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Scott Stuber, Beau Bauman, Pascal Verschooris, Jesse McKeown, Abbey Morris and Jeremy Webb are also executive producers. It is co-produced by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
