In the first season, Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) washed up on the shores of France with no idea how he got there. As he tried to return home, he was confronted with a devastated but resilient country. Along the way, he built new relationships that began to undermine his original mission.
In season two, titled The Book of Carol, Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) joined the story. She searches for her friend Daryl as he struggles with his decision to stay in France. Meanwhile, the threat of Genet’s (Anne Charrier) movement grows, causing a violent confrontation between Pouvoir and the Union of Hope in the fight for the future of France.
Season three follows Daryl and Carol as they try to return home to their loved ones. But the more they try to find their way back, the further they seem to drift. Their journey takes them through unfamiliar and changing territories, including Spain, where new dangers and influences from the Walker Apocalypse await them.
The move to Spain also introduces new characters. Season three welcomes three new regular cast members: Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 premieres Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. on AMC and AMC+. Check out more first-look photos below.
