The dark comedy series, an anthology that follows fatalities at various locations of the titular luxury resort chain, follows a largely new ensemble of stars each season. The only recurring cast member to date in the first two seasons was Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid, a role that earned her both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
According to Variety, Natasha Rothwell (pictured) is set to reprise her role of Belinda from season one in The White Lotus season three. It is unknown if any other original cast members are intended to return. So far, not much has been revealed about the season other than that it's set in Thailand.
In the first season of the series, Belinda had a complicated story. She was the manager of the spa at the White Lotus Maui location, but she dreamed of opening her own wellness business. After establishing a tentative relationship with Tanya, the two discussed the possibility of going into business together, but Tanya proved less interested in the prospect than she initially seemed.
Tanya would later die in the course of the events of The White Lotus season two, set in Italy. While it's unclear how Belinda's presence in The White Lotus' Thai location might be related to her storyline, it seems likely that Tanya's death brings her to this new place. Considering they're the only two characters to return so far, it makes the most sense that they're linked.
It is possible that Tanya's money led Belinda to take matters into her own hands and open a shop in Thailand. However, her journey away from Maui in the third season of The White Lotus could take a more spiritual turn given her interest in Eastern wellness techniques. It could also be the fact that she's just been transferred to a new location, though it seems likely her presence will prove to be more complicated than that.
