I am a horror fan, but I usually skip "Black Horror" (it really is a genre). It's often just not good and I don't feel represented in that. These films and series often do very well with critics such as Candyman (the remake), Us and Lovecraft Country, but that is because it is politically correct to approve of this. The public often finds something different. Just check Rotten Tomatoes. There is often a difference of tens of percent between the critics score and the audience score. And it's not without reason that Lovecraft Country was canceled after one season. Some good things have been made, you know. The original Candyman with Tony Todd was okay and Jordan Peele's Get Out was just okay. But I can't think of much more. It's funny that some people also consider Night of the Living Dead to be Black Horror because one of the main roles was played by a black man. Well, then you can call everything with a black actor "Black...."...
