Canceled Showtime series Three Woman saved by Starz

Canceled Showtime series Three Woman saved by Starz

Three Women has a new home. Starz picked up the drama after its cancellation by Showtime.
Episodes of Three Women were already filmed when Showtime decided to cancel the series last month.

When Paramount Global's Chris McCarthy took control of Showtime and other broadcasters, he announced plans to turn the channel's popular series into global franchises. Several underperforming series were dropped. The channel becomes Paramount+ With Showtime and announced this week that new series related to Dexter and Billions are in the works.

Starring Shailene Woodley (pictured, Big Little Lies), DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It), Betty Gilpin (GLOW), Gabrielle Creevy (The Pact), Blair Underwood (Self Made: Inspired By The Life Of Madam C.J. Walker ) and John Patrick Amedori (Dear White People), the series Three Women is based on the book by Lisa Taddeo. The series tells the story of a group of women who want to radically change their lives.

Three Women isn't the only series Starz has saved in recent months. The cable channel also bailed out Minx after it was canceled by HBO Max just days before production on the second season wrapped.

A premiere date for Three Women will be announced later.
