At the top it gets less and less, but your hair suddenly decides to start growing in places where you don't need it at all; Kitty waitresses who are already pulling you apart in your mind in the backseat of your Skoda Octavia, start to address you with 'you' and 'sir'; construction workers just stop whistling from one day to the next and after a night out in the club you need almost a whole week to get your biorhythm back in order. Let's just be honest with each other ... The life of the advanced thirties is an accumulation of painful confrontations, not to mention that thirties dilemma that arises as that annoying Parool subscription salesman at the beginning of the kalverstraat. HBO has now made a series around all this misery and it is called Togetherness and it is quite funny. Michelle and Brett once said yes to each other at the altar and then started reproducing, because that seems to be part of the game. Two children and a house to buy, they now start to wonder whether they have gotten everything out of life. Is the work still what it should be? Do they get the sagging body a little taut and do they really have to do the same three positions before going to sleep on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in bed? That the life of the single 30 + 'is not necessarily about roses, the sister of Michelle, Tina, and Brett's homeboy for life Alex prove. Tina's biological clock rattles so hard that you can barely hear the rest of the people on the set and Alex tries to mask with his infectious humor that he is becoming a witty, bald whale. When the four end up together under one roof due to circumstances, it becomes one big cacophony of 30's issues. Cozy! In one way or another, HBO has a knack for making you feel like you are part of a group of friends - from a distance. They did it with How To Make It In America, with Girls and Entourage and now they are doing it with Togetherness. You are amazed and laugh at the strange life choices your friends sometimes make and grudgingly admit that you recognize yourself more in their struggels than you would like to admit. In addition, it is from the HBO and of course they always deliver a high-quality product. I think then.

All good things come to an end. This also applies to Togetherness. Very much enjoyed two beautiful seasons. I've laughed, had goosebumps. Felt like a voyeur in the lives of the four people it's all about at times. Overall very much enjoyed.
