Legendary Television's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft picks up after the events of the Tomb Raider: Survivor video game trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and brings the globetrotting heroine's next chapter as the iconic adventuress.
More than 25 years after her first appearance, Lara Croft (Hayley Atwell) continues to investigate ancient mysteries and discover lost truths in breathtaking and dangerous destinations.
After the events of Survivor Series, Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly dangerous solo adventures. But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an eerie personal connection. Her daring pursuit takes her on an adventure across the world and into the depths of forgotten tombs, where she is forced to confront her true self and decide what kind of hero she wants to become.
Allen Maldonado as Zip and Earl Baylon, who reprises his role as Jonah Maiava from the video game, also star. Other votes are yet to be announced.
Netflix has set aside Thursday, October 10, for the premiere of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
Tomb Raider has become a worldwide franchise with films, merchandise and comic books. The Netflix Legendary project marks Lara Croft's first appearance in an animated series.
Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft is produced and written by Tasha Huo. Executive producers include DJ2 Entertainment founder and CEO Dmitri M. Johnson, along with Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson under his company Tractor Pants and Dallas Dickinson and Noah Hughes for Crystal Dynamics; as well as Howard Bliss and Jen Chambers. Powerhouse Animation is the Animation Studio with Brad Graeber as Executive Producer.
