New series: Under the Dome

In 2009, the 1120-page bestseller by Stephen King, Under The Dome, was published. Now, four years later, the American television network CBS will air the first of thirteen episodes of the new eponymous series on Monday the 24th of June.

Under The Dome follows the story of the village Chester’s Mill, Maine. The village is shut off from the rest of the world by a huge, invisible dome without any reasonable explanation. This causes the inhabitants to be trapped in their own village. They wonder what could’ve caused this, why this happened to their village, and when it will disappear again. In the aftermath, the villagers try to survive. One of the people that is trying to survive is the lieutenant of Chester’s Mill, Dale Barbara. However, in the meanwhile, some of the people of Chester’s Mill see this as an opportunity to seize the power of the secluded village.
