HBO seems to be happy with its Sunday night schedule. After the cable network renewed 'Game of Thrones' for two seasons, it now rewarded its comedies 'Veep' and 'Silicon Valley'.
'Veep's third season premiered April 6th. The show centering vice-president Selina Meyer, played by Emmy-Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is lauded by critics. In the ratings department the show isn't standing out, so the renewal comes as a treat for fans of the show.
'Silicon Valley' centers the tech-boom of the late '80s in California. The show launched after the record breaking premiere of Game of Thrones. It pulled in the best ratings for an HBO comedy since 'Hung' in 2008. After the short, eight-episode first season, fans can expect a bigger second season next year.
'Silicon Valley' Season 1 airs every Sunday at HBO, followed by 'Veep' Season 3.
