Vikings officially renewed by History

With four more episodes to go in the third season, Dirk Hoogstra, EVP and General Manager of History, has already announced that ‘Vikings’ is going to get a fourth season. The last episode of season three will be on 23 April. Production of the fourth season will start in Ireland in the spring.

‘Vikings’ achieved an average of 4.3 million viewers per episode and that is good for the number one most-watched series on Thursday night at the cable networks.

‘Vikings’ follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the sagas of Ragnar's band of Viking brothers and his family, as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes.
