Volevo fare la rockstar is an Italian romance series which aired on Rai 2. The series premiered on October 30, 2019.

Olivia is a twenty-seven year old girl in an existential crisis. In life she did everything in a hurry: first love disappointment at sixteen, simultaneously with the first pregnancy and then a job (since Nadja, her mother, is a lost freak) to become an adult and responsible, to raise her two twins, Emma and Viola, and a brother who is nothing short of slacker and manipulative, Eros, who hides from everyone that he is gay. A near-fatal accident, however, opens her eyes to the fact that there is only one life and that perhaps she, in all this haste, has missed some steps. Olivia begins to wonder if it's still time to recover. Like a bad cold, Olivia's existential doubts infect all the people around her, leading them to ask and ask themselves uncomfortable questions: who is the mysterious father of the girls? How is it possible to come out if you didn't accept yourself first? How are past mistakes forgiven? And how do you prove to have changed? With the bright tones of the brilliant and incorrect comedy, Volevo fare la rockstar tells a female point of view on growth and maturity, but also an Italian province impoverished by the crisis.
