French science fiction series in which a detective, Ludovic, enters an extremely detailed virtual reality simulation of a crime scene in 2025 to solve a murder. To his great surprise, he sees his wife, Melanie, who died in the same place 27 years ago. In the VR world, a kind of vortex seems to have arisen through which he can communicate with his wife in the past. Her death has always been ruled an accident, but now it appears it could have been murder. On both sides of the time bridge, Ludo and Melanie try to prevent her death. However, here the well-known grandfather paradox occurs. It asks the question what happens if you travel to the past and kill your grandfather there. Are you even born at all? Due to actions in the past there are repercussions in the present. Ludovic knows what the world should look like, but sees things changing. How can this be restored and can they prevent Melanie's death without erasing the present? This is an exciting and intriguing series. A bit slow here and there, but hey, it's French, that's part of it :-) The development of the dilemmas is well done. However, you can ask serious questions about choices that the protagonists make here and there. And what does Ludovic actually want? You'll have to see that for yourself. It's only six episodes with a neatly finished ending. Great to binge on a weekend.
