Hulu Releases Trailer for Washington Black Starring Sterling K. Brown

Hulu has released the first trailer for Washington Black, an upcoming limited series based on Esi Edugyan's best-selling novel starring Sterling K. Brown.Washington Black tells the epic story of eleven-year-old George Washington "Wash" Black, a boy born on a sugar cane plantation in Barbados in the 19th century. Wash possesses an exceptional scientific talent that leads him on a path to unexpected destiny.

When a harrowing event forces him to flee, he embarks on a globe-trotting adventure that will forever change his perspective on family, freedom, and love. As Wash traverses uncharted territories and overcomes unimaginable obstacles, he finds the courage to imagine a future beyond the confines of the society he was born into.

In addition to Sterling K. Brown, the cast includes Ernest Kingsley Jr., Rupert Graves, Iola Evans, Edward Bluemel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Eddie Karanja, and Tom Ellis.

Washington Black is a 20th Television production in association with Indian Meadows Productions and The Gotham Group. The series is executive produced by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, Kimberly Ann Harrison, Sterling K. Brown, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Wanuri Kahiu, Mo Marable, Rob Seidenglanz, Jeremy Bell, Lindsay Williams, D.J. Goldberg, Jennifer Johnson, and Anthony Hemingway.
