Jason Ritter has guest role in second season Yellowjackets

The second season of Showtime's Yellowjackets will air on March 24, 2023 and Jason Ritter will guest star.

Ritter is the husband of Yellowjackets actress Melanie Lynskey, who will return in the upcoming second season. The 42-year-old actor broke through with his role in the CBS fantasy family drama series Joan of Arcadia and went on to have regular roles in the CBS comedy series The Class and the NBC science fiction series The Event, both of which were canceled after one season.

Most recently, Ritter (pictured) starred in ABC's drama series A Million Little Things and Netflix's superhero drama Raising Dion.

Created by Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson (Narcos), Yellowjackets has been described as a "survival, psychological horror, and coming-of-age drama."

"Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the unlucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over."

It was recently announced that Lauren Ambrose (Servant) will play the adult Van in the second season. And Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi) plays the adult version of Lottie.

Elijah Wood (Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency) plays Walter in season two, a dedicated civilian detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in a way she won't see coming.

Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis star in Yellowjackets.
