"Kidnapping, cults, death... your friendships are a little more complicated than most," says Wood, who plays a dedicated citizen detective named Walter in season two of the hit Showtime drama series. He also appears in the season's first official trailer, where Natalie (Juliette Lewis) is hypnotized before being asked to remember what happened on that mountain.
Yellowjackets follows a team of high school football players who become the unfortunate survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness.
Season two kicks off Friday, March 24 on streaming and on-demand for all Showtime subscribers, before debuting linearly on Sunday, March 26. The first season, which received seven Emmy nominations, averaged more than 5 million viewers per week and was the second most-streamed series in Showtime history.
In addition to the original cast of Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress and Lewis, the second season will see Wood (Wilfred (US)), Lauren Ambrose (Servant) and Simone Kessell (The Crossing) along with Sophie Nelisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole and Kevin Alves.
Yellowjackets was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. The series is produced by studio Entertainment One (eOne) and is currently in production in Vancouver.
