You clearly feel that director Taylor Sheridan knows the ropes. He already scored with his episodes of the Sons Of Anarchy, and the same atmosphere can also be felt here. Costner is - as always - very solid as the patriarch of the Dutton family. His character sometimes reminds me of Tony Soprano, a lovable bastard (grin). It did indeed take a few episodes before I 'got along', but after that I started binging a lot! There are so many strong characters in it that the series is also convincing in its entirety. But if you turn off to country music, macho cowboy behavior and cattle-herd-driving scenes, then this isn't for you ...

The series always starts very quietly and ends the season with blistering cliff hangers. You are always only in it after an episode or 4. Too bad that season only has 10 episodes again. Now waiting for years again. And a lot is happening.
