No second season for Your Honor

No second season for Your Honor

Through a press release, Showtime has confirmed that Your Honor has been cancelled.
Michael Desiato (Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad), Adam Desatio (Hunter Doohan), Tommy (Michael Stuhlbarg, Traitors), Gina Baxter (Hope Davis, For the People (2018)), Lee (Carmen Ejogo, True Detective), Charlie (Isiah Whitlock Jr, The Wire) and Frannie (Sofia Black D'Elia, The Mick) will no longer form a cast after this season of Your Honor. Showtime has decided to cancel the series. After the next episode this Sunday, it's the end of the line.

Your Honor revolves around Michael Desiato, a highly respected judge whose life is turned upside down after his son ends up involved in a hit-and-run. This leads to many lies and deceit, which results in impossible decisions for both father and son.

Your Honor had a fairly slow start. The premiere was released online, quite early. After a while, the ratings seemed to improve. On average, Your Honor has approximately 573.000 viewers per episode.

Beforehand, Showtime marketed Your Honor as a limited series, but nowadays that can mean several things. For example, it could mean that the series has only one season with a proper ending. It could also mean that the series has a limited amount of episodes per season. In this particular case, it appears as if Showtime considers it to be the former and thus Your Honor will end up in the history books as a mini-series.

Didn't think it was a multi-season series. Hope for an exciting ending.
