Absentia is een Amerikaanse misdaadserie van de zender Amazon. De serie ging in première op 25 september 2017.
FBI-agente Emily Byrne verdwijnt spoorloos, terwijl ze Bostons meest beruchte seriemoordenaar, Conrad Harlow, achtervolgt. Ze wordt doodverklaard en Harlow belandt achter de tralies. Zes jaar later wordt Emily op sterven na dood gevonden. Ze kan zich niets herinneren van de zieke geest die haar heeft ontvoerd en gemarteld. Haar man blijkt intussen hertrouwd te zijn en haar zoontje is compleet van haar vervreemd. Emily gooit alles in de strijd om het raadsel van haar ontvoering op te lossen en haar leven weer op de rit te krijgen.

What a cool series. Well-built suspense, with a storyline that offers enough possibilities for a few more seasons. We know lead actress Emily (Stana Katic) from "Castle" (in which she played Kate Beckett). This kind of series may be more.

Season 1 was very strong, season 2 started poorly but ended well and season 3 was packed with action from episode 1. Great series so far!

A bit mixed feeling with this series. Exciting on the one hand, many plot twists. On the other hand too dramatic, long-winded, unrealistic. Keep it at a 7.

Just finished the first 2 seasons. Nice series with the necessary tension. Story is well put together, but as far as I'm concerned there is one thing that annoys me ... the role of Patrick Heusinger (Nick Durand). What a sissy, I can't call it anything else. Supposedly a tough FBI man who constantly whines ... He reminds me of Sebastian Vettel, another whine. But I will happily start season 3 again ... :)

What a good exciting series. Enough question marks to keep watching. The protagonist comes across as convinced and makes you doubt. Who is guilty and who is not? A well-deserved 9. Really such a series where you want to watch the episodes in quick succession.

Watched season 1 and found far too many things that were wrong. It continues nicely and it is exciting in itself, but I am really annoyed with Nick (and Alice). Leave it at this season so as not to annoy me even more and when I look at other reviews/reactions.

Absolutely loved this series !!! Excitement at the top. Bingworthy. Nice to see Stana Katic in a different role than Kate Bennett in Castle. I'm a fan anyway !!
