There is plenty of room for improvement, anyway. Still I watched the season in 2 days and I am not bored .. partly due to Katee Sackhoff. The only thing that really bothered me was the acting. Both Harper Glass (Selma Blair) and Erik Wallace (Justin Chatwin) are really crazy about it!
There are moments that are very strong, but otherwise it is full of illogical things. A lot of hatred and envy in the beginning, so people doubt Niko Breckinridge, who leads this mission. There are endless discussions about that, until something happens and then they wake up (go hup hup). And then switch back and forth between the spacecraft (Salvare) and Earth. There the contrast becomes very great, the Earth today and then suddenly they conjure a spacecraft out of their hat that looks very futuristic and is capable of interstellar space travel. As if that were not enough, we get to see flashbacks from Niko again. This series is very disappointing, already in the first episode there was something like, no this is not it. Episode 3 ended very surprisingly and was the reason to keep watching, otherwise I would have already dropped out here. I've now seen all 10 episodes and we don't really know anything.
