Doctor Who (1963) is een Britse sciencefictionserie van de zender BBC One. De serie ging in première op 23 november 1963.
Doctor Who (1963) draait om een 900-jarige alien die zichzelf de Doctor noemt. Hij ziet er menselijk uit, maar is in werkelijkheid een gevluchte Time Lord van de planeet Gallifrey. Lang geleden hebben de Time Lords het reizen door de tijd mogelijk gemaakt. Ze ontwierpen hiervoor een speciale machine genaamd TARDIS (een acroniem voor Time And Relative Dimension In Space).

I want to point out (if they don't already know) to those who want to watch the old Doctor Who that some of the episodes are unfortunately lost. Some of the episodes (which are listed here) are therefore impossible to find/watch. The BBC was in the habit of not keeping things like that for long. Sometimes something is still found (last year two more episodes).

It's a shame so much of Troughton has been lost. Good Doctor just not enough episode to really get attached to him.
