Hell on Wheels tells the epic story of post-Civil War America, focusing on a Confederate soldier (Mount) who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who have killed his wife. His journey takes him west to Hell on Wheels, a dangerous, raucous, lawless melting pot of a town that travels with and services the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, an engineering feat unprecedented for its time.
Unfortunately, unfortunately, the last season of Hell on Wheels will come at the end of this year. I have high hopes for Season 5, as the whole series has been put down really well and keeps getting better with the season. It can't get any more western than this, certainly one of the best westerns released so far. I love it!
Deliciously raw at times. Characters are portrayed convincingly. One of my favorite series at the moment. Definitely happy with a second season, but this also asked for more ;)
Great series. Season 1 and 2 were pretty good in my opinion, but no more than that. It wasn't until season 3 that things really started to get better and the upward trend that started in season 3 has kept the series well throughout the fourth season. I'm really looking forward to the last season.
