It looks like a failed attempt to revive movies like "Raiders of The Lost Ark" or "Romancing The Stone" from the early 80s but in a version for eight to twelve year olds. In any case, it seems that a search in the Amazon rainforest is not much more than a trip to an amusement park. A hundred-year-old map gets you where you need to be in the wilderness as easily as the most modern GPS in a strange city, and even half a print of it is enough for someone who's bad to be on the scene at exactly the same time as our "heroes". to come. Our heroine who is struggling into an abyss but can happily cling to a tree and then asks for help without any panic. Since it is clearly easy for her to hold on, either with one or two hands and without even having to flex her muscles, she and her "savior" still find time to tell a story. Real British nobility, therefore, as she remains herself in any circumstances ... Her partner Hooten, however, is not inferior to her; Even a bullet in the chest doesn't stop this hero from hopping aboard a flying helicopter without any effort when Lady is in danger, or what did you expect. That a helicopter would smash to the ground in seconds without someone at the wheel? Wrong ! Of course it just flies almost straight where an average viewer would expect the thing to start spinning like crazy like a top. And that's by no means all, because shortly after our heroes get to safety by jumping out of said helicopter, somewhere above the Amazon rainforest, which in real life stretches for about 5.5 million square kilometers and where emergency telephones, taxis and other things that could come in handy are quite scarce, they are just sitting at home again. Just as easy as a trip to Efteling, which I suspect aims at the same type of audience. Despite the beautiful images of nature at times, the following also applies here: "Beautiful pictures do not fill holes".

Okay .. so far it's not a great acting and the story is also quite predictable. But I just love artifacts and lost / hidden cities. And the images are beautiful too, very vivid. Yes, I think it's nice and uncomplicated. If you don't want heavy food, this is definitely chewable, ... :) Not to mention the co-creator is Tony Jordan - (Life on Mars) - So I'll give it a shot anyway. Am now on Afl. 2 started, and the acting has already improved, story-line is also getting more interesting. So that in turn is very promising.
