Description
The year is 1370, the time of the Inquisition. Two popes enter a fierce battle for supremacy in the Catholic Church: Clement VII in Avignon and Urban VI in Rome. Grand Inquisitor Guillermo Barnal get commissioned from Clement VII to investigate a satanic murder. An abbot is crucified at his church, his body was set on fire. Near the scene of the crime a Jewish father and son were be found. The inquisitors see the two as perfect scapegoats and arrest them. But on the day of the trial does the father a desperate attempt to save his son, he claims that the young man is not his son. He's not even a jew but a Christian. His name is Nicolas and he was adopted as a child. To everyone's surprise Barnal believe the story and he decides to release Nicolas. But then a murdered spiritual dive again. And this time the crucified corpse also shows signs of the 'Black Death'...
