Madame Bovary

Madame Bovary is an English mini-series which aired on BBC Two. The series premiered on April 10, 2000.

This is a two-part BBC adaptation of Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. The story focuses on a doctor's wife, Emma Bovary, who has adulterous affairs and lives beyond her means in order to escape the banalities and emptiness of provincial life.
