After the last episodes of Breaking Bad and Dexter, the world was briefly immersed in mourning. In living rooms around the globe loyal viewers with a great sense of drama plunged hysterically sobbing and with their hands pointed to the sky on their knees. Helplines were red hot and support groups sprang up like mushrooms. How were our lives to move on and would there ever be a series close to these addictive masterpieces? Two years later, Canal Plus makes a careful attempt with their new brainchild Spotless. Jean, as one of the few French, is not too bad to learn a little English. Handy, because that's why he can move to London and make himself heard there. In any case understandable enough to hook up with a beautiful blonde British and start his own company. In order to pay the bills, Jean tears in his van full of Glorix through the capital to clean up the juices of dead people. Sometimes after a jump from the eighth floor they have exploded like a ripe melon on the sidewalk and sometimes they have spent several days at room temperature decomposing after being asleep in their favorite chair for good during a replay of Rad Van Fortuin. have fallen. However they ended up, Jean pays the bills. When one day Jean's brother Martin arrives unannounced and asks him for a rather lurid favor, Jean's life changes from one moment to the next into a very bad dream. You can leave good series to Canal Plus. Romanzo Criminale is in my personal Top 5 and Braquo and Engrenages can also count on a lot of applause in Huize Gumstarr. No wonder that Spotless is also very well put together. Of course it is not Breaking Bad or Dexter, we have to remain realistic, but the storylines do have the necessary similarities. An apparently friendly guest with a disturbing blood fetish (Dexter) finds himself in an unfortunate course of circumstances in a world full of people without a moral compass (Walter White). Pour a creamy European sauce á la Penoza over it and you have Spotless. Fine right? I thought so.

This piece was great, Gumstarr, until you said Dexter. Those last seasons, and especially that last season, aren't things you want to put next to Breaking Bad. = D

Very tight site, Gumstarr. Top! Too bad you don't write for MijnSerie either. As far as I am concerned, you know what quality is and you can express it excellently.
