It's not what I remember from the 4400 (2004-2007), on the contrary. It was exciting and mysterious. This seems more like a soap opera than an SF series, unfortunately and a shame. Expected more!! The rating then was 7.3 compared to 4.3 now for this 4400. This says enough, I thought.
This is the completely unnecessary woke and BLM certified remake of what was quite a nice series. From the CW, a channel that increasingly focuses on activist content rather than quality. Hence.
I completely agree with you. I lasted 7 episodes as an SF lover but I'm quitting. Nothing happens except that some have been given some "abilities" and otherwise it is just a drama or soap opera. The series was really made to appeal to all woke "diversity" BLM and LGBTQ+. nonsense to meet. All the main characters are of color and all the guards are portrayed as white angry racist men. In short, very woke. Not for me. The original 4400 was much better and they could have gone further with it.
I stopped at the seventh episode. Never seen such a woke series with all the ingredients of LGBTQ+, BLM and diversity nonsense that you can imagine. In the series, white people are portrayed as mean racists (guards) and it is also not comparable at all to the original series "The 4400", which was still mysterious and where what happened. This is nothing more than a drama/soap opera where politically correct bullshit is forced upon you, clearly portraying white people as racist villains. They should have continued with the old concept rather than this woke stuff.
