The Tick is een Amerikaanse actie-/komedieserie van de zender Amazon. De serie ging in première in 2017.
Het lijkt erop dat The Tick na een afwezigheid van 15 jaar weer terug is! Bedenker Ben Edlund kondigde in 2014 al aan plannen te hebben om de franchise nieuw leven in te blazen. Het personage debuteerde in 1986 in een satirische comic reeks. Daarop volgde een tekenfilm in 1994 en een live-action miniserie in 2001. Edlund heeft nu aangekondigd de blauwe superheld een nieuwe live-action show te willen geven op Amazon. Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) zal de hoofdrol spelen.
In deze versie van het verhaal zien we Griffin Newman als The Ticks voormalige rechter hand Arthur. Hij is er van overtuigd dat zijn stad geregeerd wordt door een machtige slechterik die eerder dood werd verklaard. Maar wat kan deze boekhouder doen als iedereen hem voor gek uitmaakt? Hij zoekt zijn oude partner The Tick op, die aan geheugenverlies blijkt te leiden. In de volgende afbeeldingen zien we Serafinowicz in het kostuum van The Tick. Ook wordt een andere superheld genaamd Superian geïnterviewd door Whoopi Goldberg.
