Humor is a relative term. There are people – I don't know them personally, but there are – who voluntarily put down money to watch Guido Weijers in a theater setting for an hour and a half, and that should be possible. Ok, that all seems to be possible but perhaps a better ending of that last sentence. At Amazon, however, they take the definition of comedy very broadly. Their new series Transparent is regarded everywhere as a comedy, but that would almost be like saying that with Tijs van den Brink (you always have to mention Knevel, otherwise no one knows who you are talking about) once again. have middle. You can say a lot about Tijs, but not that he lets the tears run down your cheeks. At least tears of laughter. As far as I'm concerned, the same goes for Transparent. Mort has hit sixty, his kids are out of the house and so is his wife. The latter is now doing it with Ed. Now that it's just me, myself & Mort, it's time to show up: Mort is Maura. A proud woman locked in a chest full of chest hair. It soon becomes clear that not only Maura experiences some challenges in the field of sexuality and love, her children also have a lot to learn in that area. In addition to the high drama content, Transparent doesn't really have that - cynical or not - laugh that is inherent in series like Girls and Getting On. That is certainly no reason to put this one aside. It's good to see that Amazon has managed to create a high-quality series with Transparent on an unusual subject without it becoming a caricature or camp and that deserves your attention. So watch.

The Transparent series has already been renewed with Season 4 before Season 3 starts.
