OMG!!! Started it this weekend and watched it in 1 go. In my opinion, this series exceeds all series that are here on the site. Well acted, powerful story, good beginning and end, beautifully filmed. Boy what a level. I want more of this!!!

This kind of television makes me lyrical. Personally, I think it's the best ongoing series right now. The performances of the protagonists are amazing. Images and soundtrack create an atmosphere that completely absorbs me every episode. I am of the world when I watch Rust and Marty, so I get into their heads and into their world. And dialogues to enjoy, often gloomy, but not devoid of humor. Like in episode four, where Rust lectures a drunken Marty about “crazy pussy”… Unforgettable.

I sit breathlessly staring at the screen every episode, impressed by just about everything in the series. Acting, camera work, sound, story, everything. One more episode to go.

What a series, what a performance! The first two episodes are slow, but it's so worth watching... The story that unfolds and the way it's told is unbelievably good!

Beautiful series; the Twin Peaks of this time! Seen episode five in the meantime and the viewer slowly sinks into a swamp of dark rituals and the black spots in the character of both main characters. Matthew McConaughey plays his character with an at times almost scary intensity and becomes a more interesting actor every year!

How bad season 2 was, SO GOOD is season 3. I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the script and the actors. Top!

Series is slow to start. But then it gets really exciting. Southern atmosphere comes out well

10 years after my last response here, I started season 4. And I'm amazed at what a story and actors. Jodie Foster plays so well...and all the other characters are also wonderfully cast. In dark Alaska... the environment alone creates the atmosphere. And the music. Billie E.plays series tune...so appropriate. What question should you ask yourself?

I'll keep giving it a chance. Maybe not like Banshee of the Blacklist and The Following (Sorry Vevie ;) ) Indeed there are as many series as there are flavors. I know I found it quite frustrating that someone (you know who) only gave The Following a 4. Still, I respect everyone's opinion. Don't think there's any point in grumbling, even if you don't agree with something. Everyone has the right to give a 2, a 4 or a 10. That someone has already seen it after 5 minutes is also fine. If it still turns out to be a good series, they can always watch it again. Maybe we should just talk content about the series and not about other people's opinions.

I think I'm going to save this series for another time. During the first episode my attention wandered during endless dialogues. This is also my reason to wait a little longer until I might get in the mood....
