Alone

I always like to watch survival programs but this is very boring after 4 episodes. I have something like I have seen everything there is to experience, hunger, bad weather, loss, loneliness, physical deterioration and the creativity to survive. Although I think it is very clever of the participants that they participate in this because for them it is a bucket of things or something. But too little happens to keep watching.

I was quite curious about this 1st season. After having seen all the seasons of the American and Australian versions and several survival series, I thought that this would not amount to much. In the end I have determined that you cannot/should not compare those programs with each other. The location was really beautiful and most participants did everything they could to survive as long as possible. I must say that it seemed boring to most viewers and it often was. The difference with the American version is that here they only had to rely on fish, berries and mushrooms for food, while the others were also constantly busy catching other animals with traps. Especially a lot of rodents and some even managed to catch a moose. With a moose you have food for at least a month and it is difficult to keep your food out of reach of animals. And if you are only dependent on a few small trout and the occasional salmon, it is difficult to make new film images every day and it increasingly becomes a psychological talking game with yourself. Still, they did their best to make something of it and as far as I'm concerned there should be a second season.
