I remember watching some episodes of this series with my parents as a teenager when Nederland 3 was still showing it. At the beginning of this year I had already seen Life on Mars and now I decided to watch this sequel / spin-off series from start to finish. And what a beautiful whole those two series form. Fantastic actors (with Philip Glenister as the highlight), wonderful atmosphere and an intriguing mystery. Life on Mars in itself is a good series with a great ending. But Ashes to Ashes not only manages to deliver more of the same good work, but also further expand the world and continue the story and close it in a fantastic way. Chapeau for the makers!
