The day I decided after three episodes that 'The Shield' wasn't quite it, must have been the day when there was a little less oxygen in the air. 'The Shield' is very, very fantastic and all that. If your trailer starts with: “Mack is not a cop, he's Al Capone with a badge”, then you can't go wrong. Add to that the fact that season one received more Emmy nominations than Marco Borsato TMF Awards and you know this is a must-see series. If you go well on corrupt cops who don't shy away from a bit of unnecessary violence here and there, that is. A snack version of The Wire. Yep, I just say.

such series had to be more. Realistic, raw, hard and well acted. Every time you are sucked into the world of Vic and co. The season finale ..... sweetie ..... goosebumps

This is still the best cop show I've ever seen. Brutal violence, detailed, good music, good storyline, good acting. A must see for those who haven't seen it yet

One of the best police series I know so far. Tough, realistic, action-packed and fantastically acted. Still the best part of Chiklis. Series that could have continued for years to come. Unfortunately stopped. Absolutely recommended!!!
